Kim Goehl – IVF1’s Nurse Practitioner
Kim Goehl is IVF1’s certified nurse practitioner. A nurse practitioner (NP) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who has completed graduate-level education. Nurse Practitioners treat both physical and mental conditions through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Kim has been with IVF1 since 2000. She has been an integral part of the patient care we provide. Kim and Dr. Morris have worked together to develop many of the protocols and guidelines that are in use today at IVF1. Together, they present a unified team which share in the care of all of IVF1’s patients.
Kim takes care of patients with infertility and recurrent miscarriage. She provides consultations, develops treatment plans and reviews laboratory tests. In fact, she participates in every aspect of the patient treatment process.
Kim Goehl has provided care for infertility patients for over 25 years. A former adjunct professor at Elmhurst College, Kim completed her Post Master’s Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification from St. Louis University in 2009. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Psychology and her Master of Science in Nursing Education degree from Elmhurst College.
Kim is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by The National Certification Corporation (NCC). She is a charter member of Chicago Area Reproductive Endocrinology Nurses.
Kim’s is committed to providing evidence-based care. She incorporates current research, professional standards, conventional wisdom and patient preference in developing individualized treatment plans.
